Orders
Where is my order?
Sign in to your account and open Orders — every order has a "Track order" link that shows live carrier updates on our site. You'll also receive an email with your tracking number the moment your order ships.
Can I change or cancel my order after it's placed?
Until your order is packed, you can cancel it yourself from the order page (Account → Orders, or the link in your confirmation email). To change a shipping address before packing, email contact@modernyogi.co — once it's packed, the order is with the carrier and the cleanest path is to wait for delivery and start a return.
I haven't received my order confirmation email.
Check your spam folder first — confirmations sometimes land there. If it's not there after 30 minutes, write to us with the email address you used at checkout and we'll resend it.
Shipping
Where do you ship from and to?
We ship from two warehouses: Canada (serving Canada and the rest of the world) and India (serving Indian addresses). The checkout routes your order to the warehouse closest to you automatically. We ship to most countries — if you're unsure, add an item to your bag and the checkout will confirm.
How long does shipping take?
Standard delivery within Canada usually arrives in 5–10 business days. International windows vary by destination: 3–7 business days to the United States, 5–10 to the United Kingdom and EU, 7–14 to Asia-Pacific, and 10–21 to the rest of the world. Full table on the shipping page. We aim to pack and dispatch orders within 1–3 business days of placement. Windows may extend during sale periods, peak season, or public holidays.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on Canadian orders over CAD 120. Below that threshold, the rate is calculated at checkout based on your destination — urban addresses cost less than remote or northern communities. International rates depend on destination and weight.
Will I be charged customs or import duties?
For international orders outside Canada, you may be charged import duties or taxes by your local customs authority on delivery. These charges are the customer's responsibility — we don't collect or remit them on your behalf.
Returns
What is your return policy?
Unused items in original condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method. Items specifically marked as final sale on the product page cannot be returned. To start a return, sign in and open the order in your account, then click "Start a return".
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Canadian returns are free — we email a prepaid Canada Post label, which you can drop at any postal location. International returns are at the customer's expense; when you start a return, we'll send the available options for your address.
When will I get my refund?
Once we receive the returned item, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. The funds usually appear on your statement within another 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Can I exchange instead of returning?
Yes — unused items in original condition can be exchanged within 30 days of delivery. To exchange, start a return through your account and place a new order for the item you want. Refunds usually process before the new order ships.

How do I choose between 7MM and 3MM mats?
The 7MM is our thicker, more cushioned mat — for daily home or studio practice where the mat lives in one place. The 3MM is our travel mat — thinner, lighter, folds and rolls more compactly for taking to studios or on trips. Many practitioners own both. See our choosing guide for more.
What materials are your mats made from?
Cotton canvas top with a tree rubber base. The cotton provides the practice surface and improves its grip the more it's used; the rubber base holds the mat in place on hardwood, tile, or carpet.
An item I want is sold out. When will it be back?
On the product page, choose the sold-out colour and click "Notify me when back". You'll get one email the day that variant is back in stock — no follow-up, no other emails from that signup.
Care
How do I clean my mat?
Day-to-day, wipe the mat down with a damp cloth after practice and let it air dry fully before rolling it up. That's all most practitioners ever need.
For spot cleaning between deeper washes, you can steam clean the surface or use a carpet and upholstery cleaning spray. Both work well on the cotton top without saturating the rubber base.
For a deeper clean, machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then hang dry. Never tumble dry — heat is what damages the rubber base.
One thing to know about machine washing: on CottonGrip mats with the tree rubber base, repeated machine washes degrade the anti-skid layer slightly faster than spot cleaning. The mat will still grip and function normally — the difference is minute — but if you want to maximise lifespan, lean on the damp cloth / steam / spray methods between machine washes.

Account
How do I sign in?
We use passwordless sign-in. Enter your email on the sign-in page and we'll send you a link — click it to sign in. The link expires after a short time for security. No password to remember, no password to leak.
I'm not receiving the sign-in email.
Check your spam folder. If you still don't see it after a few minutes, try again — sign-in links sometimes get rate-limited by email providers. If the problem persists, write to contact@modernyogi.co.
Do I need to create an account to order?
An account is created automatically when you place an order, using the email you check out with. There's no password to set — when you want to see your orders, request a sign-in link to that email. This keeps order updates, tracking, and returns in one place without an extra step at checkout.
How do I update my email or shipping address?
Sign in and open Profile. You can change your name and saved addresses there. To change the email tied to your account, write to contact@modernyogi.co — we verify the new address before updating. If you need to change the address on an order that's already placed, also write to us before it's packed — once it's with the carrier, we can't redirect it.

We're online-first, but a handful of studios and shops carry us in person. See the stockists directory for the current list by city.
I run a studio or shop — can I carry Modern Yogi?
Yes. Write to us via the retail enquiries form with a few words about your space and the people who pass through it. We reply within three business days.
Do you offer teacher discounts?
Yes. Certified teachers can apply for an ongoing discount through our teachers & studios page.
